New York City based people: a new event is headed your way. NY Tech Day is an event aimed at being an exposition for New York City-based startups. The event will be taking place in the Flatiron district on April 19th. Following the desires of the NY tech community, the event will be free to attend.

Co-founder John Petersen described it as a “pseudo-science fair” for the NY technology community. He was kind enough to give us a heads up on what the day would include.

The day will be split into two parts. The first part is the Expo, where startups will be able to demo their products, work on hiring, and – importantly – pursue funding. This is then followed by the Award Ceremony, which is split up into two parts. It will feature a discussion on the State of the NY Tech Community, as well as the prize presentations, where one startup will have the opportunity to present their startup to the entire crowd.

Although attendance is free, space is limited, so make sure to sign up as soon as possible if you intend to be there. For attendees, or for general information, you can head over to their website. For startups wishing to be a part of the exhibition, you can contact them at outreach@nytechday.com
