I’m incredibly excited to announce that Peter Thiel will be our next guest for PandoMonthly.

Peter is a renowned contrarian who is usually right (IMHO) and always controversial. He is one of the most central figures in the Web 2.0 revolution. He was a college chum of Reid Hoffman and Keith Rabois, a co-founder of PayPal, a don of the PayPal mafia, and the first institutional investor in Facebook.

Whether you agree with him or not, Peter is one of the premier thought-leaders in the Valley. My TechCrunch post on his idea to reward would-be entrepreneurs to drop out of college generated more traffic than nearly anything else I ever wrote for the blog.

Peter and I will talk about the state of the Valley, the early days of PayPal and Facebook, his belief that we’re in an education bubble, and his claims that the Valley is focusing too much on “140 characters” and not enough on “flying cars.”

Also, he has a butler. A surprisingly few number of people in the Valley have butlers.

As a reminder, this is a monthly event for entrepreneurs to come together, network, eat, and get plugged into the ecosystem. Single tickets are $20 and include free pizza, beer and a PandoDaily T-shirt. Those are really supposed to go to entrepreneurs and they go fast, so if you have an expense account I urge you to invest in an annual pass instead. It’s the annual passes that allow us to keep the single ticket prices so low for the community.

Tickets are on sale for the event NOW.

[Disclosure: Peter is also an investor in PandoDaily.]
