About 10 years ago I had the rare opportunity to ride on the back of a super bike at 150 mph, popping wheelies down the straightway beyond Turn 7 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California. Professional rider Steve Rapp was at the helm at the time.

It was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life that I will never do again, (unless it’s on camera, of course). Not to say it wasn’t fun. But one death-defying ride in a lifetime was enough for me.

So when I was offered the chance again, I thought who else could take my spot? An entrepreneur would be perfect, as they are constantly traveling at the speed of light.

While I was office-crashing at shared working space Founders Den, I asked Founders Den co-founder Michael Levit, who he’d choose. He said, “Branchout’s Rick Marini, because he’s grown his company fast.”

Yes he has. And yes he was perfect for this.

The networking app on Facebook has grown to 25 million registered users in just 18 months. Compare that to Facebook and Twitter which each took about 30 months to gain that amount of traction and its closest competitor LinkedIn, which took 65 months to get there.

Rick Marini agreed to take the ride of his life and we caught the experience on tape. This is a must watch.
