“And now for something completely different!” may as well have been our introduction for Rob Burnett’s PandoMonthly visit earlier this year. Burnett, not a tech guru, is the CEO of Worldwide Pants, David Letterman’s production company.

He joined us in July to talk about the way technology is changing Hollywood, manifest in his new low-budget, crowdsourced film, “We Made This Movie.”

The film follows a high school student and his friends as they attempt to escape the doom of working in their town’s chicken processing plant by filming a comedy and getting it into the hands of (inexplicably) Bill Pullman. PandoMonthly attendees caught a preview of “We Made This Movie” at PandoMonthly in July.

Now we have a limited number of free tickets available for a “sneak” screening of the movie on September 13 in the Ed Sullivan theater.

Burnett will take the stage to give a behind-the-scenes presentation about the way he bucked the large studios to make the film, and he – along with the cast – will participate in a Q&A session moderated by Michael Ian Black. “Food Will Win the War“, one of the bands from the Red Bull Soundstage chosen to score the film, will also take the stage with Paul Shaffer.

The event will take place on September 13. Pizza, popcorn, and beverages will be provided as part of the event, and PandoDaily readers who register here get in for free.
