NY Tech Day’s first ever startup expo sold out the Armory with 200 startups presenting themselves to 4500 attendees. This year promises to be even bigger to reflect 365 days of growth in New York’s tech scene. Is it the world’s largest startup event, as promised? I’m not sure. It’ll be big, though.
With a new venue — Pier 92 — Ny Tech Day will feature 500 startup booths with a capacity for 10,000 visitors. The event is slated for April 25. Sign up here: NY Tech Day.
The event, founded by NY Dev Shop owners John Peterson and Alec Hartman, is meant to be a bit like a science fair. Startups have booths, where they’ll be able to demo their products to potential recruits, investors, partners or even users. The goal is to give companies access to resources and a place to evangelize their products. Also included in the low entry fee of free?
