Apparently this thing is getting a lot of play on Hacker News right now. A site which helps startups get the contact details for journalists who are apparently gagging to receive their press releases.
I’m not an expert in these things, but my gut tells me a site that’s all about finding accurate media contacts would appear more credible if it didn’t just make up the names of journalists on its front page.
Who the hell is Diana Glassar? And why does she have wings?
In any case, there’s absolutely no need for this site. As anyone in tech will tell you, if you want a journalist to write up your press release, the only address you need is firstname.lastname@example.org.
