If for some reason you’re still buying CDs, Amazon has you covered. Now if you buy a compact disc through the online retailer, it will automatically provide you with a free MP3 version through a new service called “AutoRip.” Amazon is backdating the service to 1998 by uploading the music to your Cloud Player account. Users have access to 5GB of space on the Cloud Player, so perhaps this is a wiley move by Amazon to push people to upgrade to the paid version, which offers more space. As of today, the service is available for more than 50,000 albums, with more to come over time. [Source: The Next Web]
