Amazon made its mark on the market by disrupting the traditional retail store, via its quick shipping, good customer service, and breadth of products. Following that momentum, Amazon will now be…launching a retail store? The company is looking to launch its first “boutique store” in Seattle to test the market. The stores would be smaller and would only stock high-margin items and items that are only available from Amazon. This would presumably include Amazon’s self-published books. Barnes and Noble won’t be too happy about this.
