For a while now, pundits and industry-watchers alike have been expecting Amazon to announce that it will be rolling-out a standalone video streaming service to compete with Netflix. Now, it appears that the Head of Digital Video Content Acquisition at Amazon, Brad Beale, has struck down the rumors. He notes that the offering of a bundle streaming service with Amazon Prime is a great, competitive deal. He also notes that they will continue to follow this approach into the future. Of course, he wouldn’t say otherwise even if it were true, so take it with a grain of salt.
