You know what you do when you’ve successfully pissed off every major book publisher in the world by cutting their profits and essentially creating a new market underneath their noses? You cut them out of a little bit of profit and give that money directly to the author. That’s what Audible (owned by Amazon) is doing by allowing authors to sign up for their program, offering $1 per sale through Audible or iTunes. Good for authors, bad for publishers; the Amazon way.
