Horace Dediu has posted his latest analysis on the differences between IKEA’s retail strategy and that of Apple’s. The question Dediu was looking to answer was if the two companies are so successful because they follow similar models, and as is normally the case, the proof is in the numbers. In the end, the companies use vastly different models, but share one thing: they have a goal in mind, and the stores accomplish the goal perfectly.
