As the number of stolen phones and devices continue to rise, Apple and the NYPD have joined forces. The corporation will work with the agency on tracking down gadgets, the most common ones being iPhones and iPads. Once the devices are tracked using a unique tracking number, Apple will step in and provide the information to the NYPD, so the agency can try and locate the item. By teaming up, the agency hopes the number of thefts will decrease but will also provide more insight into how these organized criminals operate. [Source: New York Post]
