Apple has had a strong year in branding babies. In 2012, the number of babies given the name Apple rose 15 percent for girls and climbed 585 spots for boys on BabyCenter’s top-names chart. Meanwhile, for boys, the name Mac jumped 12 percent, and Siri saw an increase of 15 percent for girls. The survey results did not reveal how many parents had named their kids Retina.
