Apple has confirmed plans for a new data center in Oregon, sitting on top of a 160-acre lot in Crook County. While Apple didn’t go into detail on the data center – aside from the fact that it is a “green” facility – it would be safe to assume that this is going to be the West Coast equivalent of their North Carolina facility. As Apple continues to push iCloud above everything else, facilities like these will likely become more common (and essential) around the world.
