Mexican company iFone, which registered its trademark in 2003, won its court battle to prevent Apple from selling iPhone branded products in the country. Apple was the one to file the initial injunction in 2009, but ended up being countersued for up to 40 percent of its Mexico iPhone revenue. No ruling on damages has been made. Sales of the iPhone 5, scheduled to begin today, are current in jeopardy. Expect Apple to either appeal or settle quickly to protect its brand in the country. [Source Mashable]
