Apple and Proview are reportedly at odds over the amount of money Apple should pay for the “iPad” trademark. Apple is willing to settle it appears, but it will only go as high as $16 million, while Proview is holding out for $400 million. There is a substantial gulf between those two numbers, and it is ridiculous to think that Apple would pay that much money for the trademark. Maybe the company would go up to $100 million, but not $400 million.
