Apple has filed a formal response to the lawsuit brought against it by Greenlight Capital and spearheaded by David Einhorn. The company suggests that the suit be dropped for “any one of four reasons,” which boil down to: 1. The proposal in question doesn’t present a question of “bundling.” 2. Greenlight can’t show evidence of “irreparable harm.” 3. “[T]he balance of hardships tilts in Apple’s favor, not plaintiffs.” 4. “[T]the proposed injunction would harm the public interest.”
