According to CNET, Apple’s proposed expansion in Austin, Texas is in peril due to contract issues between Apple and the city of Austin. Originally, the city had planned to offer Apple incentives of up to $37 million, in exchange for Apple’s promises that it would create thousands of new jobs in the area and would invest hundreds of millions of dollars in the Texas facility. Now, the city’s Commissioners are looking at the contract and trying to determine if Apple did design it to be relieved of its duties, yet still get to keep the incentives.
