App seller Apptopia has raised $1 million from Mark Cuban and “other angeles and VCs.” The company is a marketplace to sell entire apps, like a business broker would sell a business. Apps are listed for sale via an auction and buyers bid to own the app’s source code, IP, customer list, data, and revenue, as well as a non-compete agreement from the seller. Apptopia has eight registered buyers with more than $150,000 to spend and has sold 50 apps to date at an average price of $4,000 each. The largest sale to date was $25,000. [Source GigaOM]
