AT&T is looking to purchase Leap Wireless, in an effort to acquire more spectrum for its own use. Leap Wireless is the parent-company of the small (yet, successful) carrier Cricket Wireless. Apparently, AT&T is looking at a number of acquisitions to expand its spectrum base, and the acquisition of Leap is the most likely to happen in the coming months. Anything to make AT&T better. Really, if we took AT&T executives, the FCC chairman and Congress and made them stay in San Francisco on AT&T only, everything would be fixed in two weeks.
