As Barnes & Noble prepares to report its earnings on Thursday, the company may announce it is putting the kibosh on the Nook business. As the Nook is unable to compete with the fancier tablets chalk full of features, the device hasn’t been able to keep up. According to The New York Times, a source states Barnes & Noble is now considering developing its own device and focusing more of its time licensing out content. It was also noted today that in an SEC filing Chairman Leonard Riggio filed wants to buy the retail component of Barnes & Noble, along with its website. [Source: The New York Times]
