Microsoft and Nokia have merged their map offerings, the companies are announcing. While Nokia is primarily known for smartphones and hardware quality, it also makes a small chunk of its change from mapping services. The integration of Bing and Nokia Maps is just the latest in a very long line of deals the partners have struck in recent months. Presumably, this combination of Bing and Nokia means that rival Windows Phone makers like HTC will have Nokia branding on their phones.
