One of the primary questions weighing on the perennially iminent launch of the Blackberry 10 platform has been the availability (or lack thereof) of third-party apps. The company announced today that it will launch with some 70,000 apps for the platform. Included among them are the major social, communication, and entertainment platforms Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Evernote – which are baked directly into the OS – as well as Foursquare, Skype, Dropbox, Kindle, WhatsApp, ESPN Scorecenter, Rdio, and Angry Birds. Oh, and people are fairly excited about something called BBM. [Source: The Verge]
