Blekko is quickly shaping up to be one of the better options for people looking for a search engine that doesn’t track their every move. All search data is anonymized, and the company takes its filtering pretty seriously; it decided to block 1.1 million “untrustworthy” websites from its search results. The NY Times has reported that the company is teaming up with Lavasoft, a security software that removes adware and spyware from users’ PCs. The move will make Blekko the default search engine on Lavasoft users’ PCs and add a little dot to indicate whether or not a site is trustworthy.
