Video platform Brightcove plans to raise $55 million in its IPO later this year, according to its latest SEC filing. The company’s Nasdaq listing will sell shares priced between $10 and $12, valuing the company at $290 at the mid-point of its range. Small IPOs were a tough sell last year, and Brightcove’s prospects aren’t helped the fact that it doesn’t expect to turn a profit this year. It’s backed by $103 million in venture funding.
