Aereo stirred up some controversy with the announcement of their broadcast-TV receiver. Their device allows customers to grab television signals broadcast over the air and record them for later viewing for a small rental fee, and the broadcast companies weren’t happy about their programs being viewed for free. Aereo, in defense of their legal attack, has decided to countersue and cites the legality of “bunny-ears” and recording via VCR; we’ll have to see how this one works out.
