Democratic congresswoman Zoe Lofgren from California has reached out to the Reddit community for help drafting “Aaron’s Law.” The law, inspired by the tragic suicide of noted internet entrepreneur and activist Aaron Swartz, would limit the number of charges that could be brought against someone who violates the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA). Many attribute Swartz’s ultimate decision to his overzealous prosecution for downloading millions of academic journal articles from the MIT library. [Source: Lofgren via Reddit]
