The head of the European Publishers Council says Google should extend the offer it made to French publishers to pay for use of their content across the rest of Europe, Reuters reports. Google last week resolved a dispute with French publishers by agreeing to pay $80 million into a fund to support French media’s online presence, but it wouldn’t pay for posting links to their content. Still facing a similar dispute with publishers in Germany, Google is now under pressure to give the rest of Europe the treatment it gave France. [Source: Reuters]
