GigaOM was wondering why companies that were so outspoken against SOPA have mostly remained quiet on CISPA, and they’ve come up with a few possible explanations. The first is that this bill isn’t as bad as SOPA was, allowing these companies to get some measure of legality without having to police their networks. The other – and, to me, more likely – theory is that these tech companies don’t expect the bill to pass, and don’t want to waste their breath.
