A girl scout by the name of Emma Vermaak had the brilliant idea of using online payment service PayPal, so she could receive money for the cookies she wanted to ship overseas to troops. Well, the hundred-year-old organization just wasn’t into this sort of innovation, as they put the kibosh on her plan. In a tweet to Vermaak, the organization said, “@emmavermaak01 But girls cannot transact the sale (take payment) online.
