Google has teamed up with Duda Mobile as part of its GoMo initiative, offering businesses free mobile-optimized sites for one year. At the end of that year they can sign up for Duda Mobile’s $9/month package or opt-out and have their website removed. Google is also offering a list of developers that can offer more powerful mobile websites in case businesses want to take their properties further. This is all good news for businesses, but The Next Web points out that a big motivator here for Google is staying on top of the mobile advertising game, which just about cancels out any goodwill.
