The Financial Times reports that Google has been in talks with record labels over starting a streaming service a la Spotify and Deezer — reportedly offering both subscriptions and free ad-supported unlimited access to music. The online music business isn’t entirely new to Google. It has been operating a musical download store since 2011. The news comes days after it was reported that Spotify has also been in talks with labels over over licensing and revenue models. [Source: Financial Times via CNET]
