Android and Me is reporting that the Google Nexus Tablet is a real thing, and will be manufactured by Asus. They don’t have very many details about the tablet, but they’re convinced that it will have a 7-inch display and will retail for $149-$199. While that pricepoint is the sweet spot for competing with the iPad, Eric Schmidt’s “we will focus on building a tablet of the highest quality” doesn’t mesh well with race-to-the-bottom pricing.
