African voucher startup, Nomanini, is giving locals the opportunity to transform themselves into entrepreneurs largely thanks to Google App Engine. In rural parts of Africa, prepaid vouchers are commonly used for services such as electricity, insurance and airtime for mobile devices, but are easy targets for theft. Nomanini seeks to solve this issue through using a portable voucher terminal, called Lula, that uses the Google App Engine to process sales, store data, and follow trends.   [Source: Google]
