Documents have been revealed to a court during the Oracle v. Google case that show the search giant’s wishes to subsidize Android users’ data plans. Google had reached out to T-Mobile and proposed that Google would subsidize data so Android users could have an unlimited plan at $9.99/month. The Verge points out that this deal never came to fruition, as the G1 launched with $25-35/month data plans, but it makes one wonder “what if.”
