Hollywood has some major issues with rolling out films in China, according to a report by the LA Times. Apparently, major movie studios are being forced to edit movies to remove any scenes or references that paint Chinese people in a bad light, with recent films like Men in Black III and Battleship being clearly changed to pass the muster of Chinese censors. The editing gives the studios a chance at selling the film in China, but at the same time, limits how far screenplay writers can go.
