Voting, despite a few flaws in the system, is relatively straightforward. You wait in line to place your vote (or, if you’re in the right state, mail, fax, or email your vote in) at your local polling office. Easy. Unless, of course, you happen to be in space, at which point things get a little bit complicated. Space.com reports that Mission Control beams the ballot up to orbiting astronauts, allowing them to vote despite not being on the planet.
