No one likes to be told to shut off their gadgets on a plane (in fact, like many people, I just ignore the orders). However, there is apparently a small contingent of people who feel like it is a good idea. Of course, there isn’t a technical reason behind it, but more of a traditional reason. Apparently, Peter Bright at Ars Technica believes that everyone should shut off their devices so they pay more attention to their surroundings. That’s great Bright. You do that, I’ll continue listening to Spotify.
