After agreeing to allow startup AXS TV live streaming of events, CBS will hold a minority ownership stake in AXS TV. “CBS is happy to provide AXS TV with live event content as the basis of this partnership. This is an innovative way to use our tentpole programming to gain more ownership in the cable network business,”  said CBS Corp. president and CEO Leslie Moonves.  The live streaming company was founded last year as a joint venture between Mark Cuban Companies, AEG, Creative Artists Agency and Ryan Seacrest Media, as a replacement to HDNet.
