A profile piece about Instragram in the New York Times has unearthed a number of previously unknown facts about the photo-sharing company. Not only does the piece go into the relationships Kevin Systrom has with well-known Silicon Valley companies, but it also shares a few hitherto unknown secrets about Instragram. The choicest one is that Jack Dorsey, the Chairman of Twitter and Instagram investor, tried to buy the company for Twitter in the months leading up to the Facebook acquisition, but apparently the deal couldn’t be made.
