Intel has apparently developed a small, sturdy tablet for educational purposes, according to the Wall Street Journal. As the Journal notes, the tablet, dubbed the studybook, is a seven inch device, that is designed to be used by students and is designed to take quite a physical beating. While Intel was the company that designed the device, it will be licensing the device to third-parties, who will be setting the price and manufacturing the tablet. iPad competitor, no; useful for third-world countries, possibly.
