Karma, one of the companies graduating from TechStars today, is a company that will encourage users to share their data connections with other people. The company’s product, a 4G hotspot that works with Clearwire’s network, will cost $69; data costs just $14 per gigabyte. The company will encourage data (connection) sharing by giving the hotspot owner 100MB for free every time a stranger – who also receives 100MB for free – uses the hotspot’s data connection.
