Buying an airline? No big deal for billionaire Larry Ellison. The Oracle CEO has decided to use some of his pocket change to buy Island Air, an airline that flies to all the Hawaiian islands. “The entire Island Air team pulled together over the past year to restructure and position the company for success and this sale represents the culmination of that process. We welcome Mr. Ellison and we look forward to an exciting future together,” said Island Air president Les Murashige. Ellison also owns 98 percent of the island Lanai, which he paid between $500 and $600 million. [Source: Wall Street Journal]
