According to a leaked registration page, it appears that the Kansas City Google Fiber project will involve a competitive pre-registration among those wishing to get access to the sweet gigabit network. Signup will reportedly require a refundable fee that will be deducted from the first bill. Neighborhoods (or “Fiberhoods” as the company is calling them) which receive the most pre-registrations by September 9th will be the first to get network access. Neighborhoods meeting a five to 10 percent preregistration threshold will get free Fiber acces for one local school. [Source The Verge]
