3-D printing gurus MakerBot recently opened a store in Manhattan to help ignite the 3-D printing revolution that may or may not be nigh. One of the store’s coolest installations? A 3-D printing photo booth which, for just $5, will print a plastic replica of your head. (If you want to actually own a copy of said head, it will cost $20, $40 or $60 depending on size). Useful? Not really. But at least it gives everyday people the chance to use the equipment without having to drop $2,200 on a MakerBot Replicator 2. [Source: Future Tense]
