New York state attorney general Eric Schneiderman has partnered with gaming companies to get registered sex offenders off of their networks after a 19 year-old boy abused a 10-year-old that he met on Xbox Live. The initiative, dubbed Operation: Game Over has banned some 3,500 registered sex offenders, made possible by laws that convicted sex offenders must register email addresses, avatars, etc.
