Japanese telco NTT Docomo has completed a $22.5 million (¥1.78 billion) investment for a 20% stake in mobile content distribution netowrk, Baidu Yi Xin. The joint venture will release its first apps in August which will Japanese content localized for a Chinese audience. JVs of this type are extremely difficult, but appear to be the standard method of foreign companies attempting to tackle the Chinese market. [Source TechCrunch]
