There has been a lot of back-and-forth over the utilization of homeless people as hotspots (via an actual hotspot, not some cellular Frankenstein nightmare) as the tech blogs try to decide whether this was a decent way for some people to actually make a quick buck and get their story out, or if it was another way of taking advantage of a population that’s in a bad enough situation. The WSJ spoke to the people behind the hotspots and discovered that most of the homeless participants were pleased with the results.
