Upstart Spotify competitor Deezer is launching an “App Studio” to encourage developers to build apps to improve discovery on its music-streaming platform. The studio comes six months after Deezer kicked off its Open API Program to get developers to integrate Deezer’s music library into their apps. The France-based service was until recently only available in Europe, but this year has rolled out to Canada, Latin America, Australasia, and Africa. The US is notably absent from the list.
