Spotify is teaming up with The Echo Nest to improve music recommendations for users. One of the key features that Spotify has always touted is the ability to find music related to what a user is currently listening to. At this point, the feature has become a bit dated, and finding music is hard in a catalog of millions and millions of songs, even with the recent introduction of third-party applications. The partnership with The Echo Nest should be good for both companies and for indie developers, but more importantly, good for users.
